In a strong show of support for gender equality, Bikita Minerals leadership has applauded the critical role played by female employees across the company and reaffirmed its commitment to building a diverse, inclusive, and empowering work environment.

Speaking during the company’s inaugural International Women’s Day commemorations, Vice General Manager Li Wen expressed deep appreciation for the contributions of women within the organisation.

“Whether on the front lines of production, in the boardroom, or in countless roles you fulfill, you have demonstrated excellence, leadership, and unwavering commitment to our shared goals. Beyond your professional contributions, you balance the demands of work and family with remarkable poise, inspiring us all,” said Wen.

He emphasized the company’s belief in the power of diversity and inclusion, noting that fostering an environment where every woman can thrive is central to Bikita Minerals’ corporate values.

“We are committed to creating a culture where all women are empowered to grow and achieve their full potential,” he added.

He noted that women currently edge closer to 40 percent of Bikita Minerals’ workforce—a figure that has been steadily increasing over the past three years. He attributed this growth to the company’s deliberate and ongoing efforts to promote gender inclusivity.

“This is a clear testament to Sinomine’s commitment to accelerating progress for women in the mining sector. Our goal is to build a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.

“We recognise that women face unique challenges in the workplace and beyond, and we are determined to provide opportunities for growth, development, and advancement,” said Wen.

The remarks from the company’s leadership come as part of a broader movement to shift mining industry norms and position Bikita Minerals as a leader in responsible, inclusive business practices.

As Bikita Minerals continues to expand its operations and impact, its leaders made it clear that gender equity is not just a vision for the future—it is a priority for the present.
